Biogenic CO2 is a Byproduct
The CO2 we sequester comes from existing facilities that release atmospheric CO2 as a byproduct into the air. The biomass from which the CO2 is derived was cultivated to produce circular bio-economy products and not for creating removals.
Sustainable Biomass
ISCC EU Certified
We only use CO2 from sustainable biomass sources. ISCC EU certifies that feedstocks have been produced in a sustainable manner and protect land with high carbon stocks or biodiversity value in accordance to Directive (EU) 2018/2001.
Permanent Sequestration
EU CCS Directive Complient
Geological sequestration of CO2 is a well-established process that locks away carbon for 1,000+ years. The EU CCS Directive sets a stringent legal framework for storage sites to assure there is no risk of leakage or damage to human health and the environment.
